Breakthrough Research at AGU 2019

Thousands of scientists from around the world will gather at the annual American Geophysical Union fall meeting to share new research on our changing planet.

Dec 3, 2019

By:

Each year, thousands of scientists from across the globe come together at the American Geophysical Union (AGU) annual fall meeting to share new findings and research on pressing topics facing our world, including climate change, extreme events, environmental pollution, groundwater resources and more. On December 9 – 13, in San Francisco, Stanford faculty, students and scholars will join scientists from various disciplines in the earth and planetary sciences and engage in interdisciplinary collaborations and discussions across fields to learn more about and create solutions to the world’s most pressing environmental challenges. The meeting will also include keynote speakers such as Former California Governor Jerry Brown speaking in conversation with AGU scientists about protecting Earth's climate for the next 100 years. All presentations will take place at the Moscone Center. Follow us on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook to learn more about new Stanford environmental research at #StanfordAGU.
